Replace Damaged Magnet Power Supply Cabling

Safety Precautions

• Ensure the main power supply is locked out and tagged out (LOTO).
• Discharge any residual energy in the magnet coil using a shunt resistor.

Required Tools

• Replacement industrial-grade flexible cable
• Wire strippers and crimping tool
• Multimeter

Steps

1. Disconnect the damaged cable from both the control cabinet terminals and the magnet junction box.
2. Route the new cable, ensuring proper strain relief is installed at both entry points.
3. Strip the conductors and terminate them according to the original wiring diagram.
4. Verify continuity of each conductor with a multimeter before reconnecting the power.
5. Restore power and test the switching function under no-load conditions first.
